Tell us more about your wedding. Is there a great proposal story? How did you choose your location? Any DIY tips? What else would you want everyone to know about your wedding?
We started dating 12 years ago back in high school, so this wedding was a long time coming! We choose Wildlife Prairie Park because it has a rustic, country feel yet was classy and beautiful. We love animals, so having our ceremony in front of the bison/elk open range was so “us.” We didn’t go over the top with decor, but made sure to have beautiful flower accents and simple elegant neutral colors. I wasn’t a bridezilla at all!! I actually was super laid back and with a “go with the flow” mentality. We decided on and made all our centerpieces just 2 weeks before the big day! Ha! I made sure not to stress about the little stuff, because in the end it was the memories of everyone laughing, dancing and being together that mattered. I wish we could relive the day again!!
What was your experience with Adore?
We had a great experience with Adore! The dress I’m wearing was particularly special to me and my family. After trying on many dresses, we knew we had found “the one” but I was back and forth on choosing a color. I had two choices, an ivory or blush. As I was trying them each on, over and over, our bridal consultant, Brea, then said “let me go grab the Grace again.” This was the ivory dress, Brea told us they all have a special name. Our family was in tears when she spoke those words. Grace is the name of my great grandma who passed away a few years ago. Our family is so close and Grandma Grace was the glue to keeping us all together. She had the world’s kindest soul, never without a smile, and open loving arms. So when Brea casually mentioned the name of that dress, it was so special because we knew my grandma Grace was with us that day and going to be with me on my wedding at every moment. It was perfect.
Are there any vendors that stood out to you as top notch? Who and Why?
Tri County Rentals– they did amazing with our chairs!! Our coordinator at Wildlife was such a huge help, Becky Steer. Our photographer and florist were perfect as well!!!
