From the time you were a little girl, I bet you were like the millions of others who spent countless hours imagining their dream wedding. Much of this time is spent envisioning the perfect wedding dress.  When a bride tries on a wedding gown for the first time, she gets a glimpse of what she may look like on her wedding day. That's when a bride’s dream begins to really come to life! Helping you find the dress you Adore is our specialty! When you are in your dress, you feel like the best and most beautiful version of yourself.  So why not keep your dress forever just like it was on the day of your wedding, preserving the memories and feelings along with the garment.

Each of our Diamond Brides receives her wedding dress preservation for free! 💎 Include your veil and other accessories too!

Here are a few things to know about preserving your dress.

Wedding Gowns are Keepsakes

Many things from your wedding day won't keep, they are really just for that day.  Your wedding dress however, is one of the few things you’ll be able to save from your wedding day.  Wedding dress preservation can be eco-friendly, eliminates the risk of the fabric yellowing or stretching, and prevents future damage from stains or the elements.  It is a sad feeling to pull out your dress years from now to find a stain, or yellowed fabric that can't be fixed. Preserving your gown protects it from all that.   Gown preservation offers a multitude of benefits, such as the opportunity to pass down your gown to your future daughter or granddaughter.  Some brides use their dresses later for photoshoots, repurposing, or vow renewals.   There are many creative things women are doing with their preserved gowns, so give yourself the option!

preserving your gown to sell

Many brides opt not to keep their dress long term, but they do want to pass it on to another bride that can use it! Preserving your gown allows for you to list your gown for sale without any stains or damages on the garment, which gives more value to your dress!

Not Your Average Dry-Cleaning

We think that it’s important to note that wedding gown preservation is not the same as dry cleaning a garment. To preserve your wedding gown, you need a specialist to create a treatment plan that takes into account your dress’s fabric, stitching, details, and any stains on the gown. The specific treatment plan will renew your dress without harming any delicate fabric.

You will find that some dry cleaners offer wedding dress cleaning, but that doesn’t necessarily mean the services are the same as preservation. You want to do your research and really make sure that where you take your dress will actually do the proper preservation techniques for your dress.
And here is where WE can come in again.  Not only can we help you find the perfect dress, we at ADORE can help you preserve it too!   This is a service that we offer to our #adorerealbrides, or any bride looking to save your dress.  So after your big day, bring your dress back in to us and we will make sure that your beautiful wedding gown is cleaned and preserved just how it needs to be. Don't wait, Time is of the Essence

The longer you wait to have your gown cleaned and preserved, the more likely it is that stains or other imperfections will be harder to remove. Many brides wait weeks to have their dress preserved, leaving plenty of time for stains to set and seep into the fabric. You can set up a time to bring in your dress to us even before your wedding, so you are all set to go.  Having your wedding dress professionally cleaned is an essential first step to preserving your wedding dress. The sooner you get your dress to a preservationist, the better off your results will be. We understand that the last thing a bride wants to do after her wedding is more running around. Months of planning and preparation are over now, and relaxation can finally begin as a married couple. Don't be shy to ask a bridesmaid or family member to bring the dress into the store.

You put so much time, energy, effort and money into planning your wedding, so it seems appropriate that you’d want precious keepsakes to remember the day. While a groom may not keep his tux, a bride will always look at her wedding dress as a milestone in life: the day she felt the most beautiful and celebrated her love with those she cares about the most. Wedding gown preservation will keep your gown in pristine condition for many years to come, so if you plan on giving your dress to family, donating it, or using materials from your gown to create a clutch or veil for future generations, the fabric will still be in fantastic condition.  We know we are a little biased here, because wedding dresses are our thang! We love to see it preserved knowing that you felt amazing on your big day and preserving that feeling along with the gown.
