What was your styling inspiration or wedding day vibe you were going for? What inspired you to choose this?
European Fall elegance. We wanted to highlight the beauty of the venue with natural fall colors, incorporating fruits and seasonal elements.

Tell us about a special memory from your wedding day, something that will alway stand out in your mind ❤️
Our first look. Watching Shamir take in my dress and love it just as much as I did. I was so excited for him to see it, and his response met my expectations and more. I also did a first look with my father who started to cry when he saw me. If I could relive the whole day over, I would in a heartbeat!

What do you admire most about your new spouse?
His genuine kindness and patience. It's the little things in life that mean the most sometimes, and Shamir has the ability to make the little things so meaningful. He is patient beyond measure, encourages me to slow down and practice patience myself which allows us to enjoy where we are at this moment in life.

Is there anything else you want people to know about your love story?
Shamir is from Canada, and I am from the United States. With friends and family across North America and abroad, we knew our wedding would be a destination for our guests regardless of location. When we found our venue in Portugal there wasn't any availability, and we were devastated. We continued our search for a few more months in the U.S. and Canada, but nothing compared to Os Agostos. We reached back out to make sure nothing had opened up, only to hear October 8 was available! It was the perfect date as we were wanting a fall wedding, but the icing on the cake is that it is my paternal grandfather's birthday and paternal grandparents anniversary. My grandparents married just before my grandfather shipped out for World War II, and both are now deceased. If there is one thing we know, it's that my grandparents had a hand in making October 8 our anniversary too.

What was your experience like with Adore Bridal?
Easy! Having the stylist sort through silhouettes for me and help me narrow down what I was loving made it seamless. I didn't have the anxiety of searching through racks of dresses or feeling overwhelmed by the options. I found my perfect dress much faster than I ever dreamed of!
Are there any vendors that stood out to you as top notch? Who and Why?
Our venue, Os Agostos made everything so seamless during the planning process and the day didn't disappoint! The staff was kind and fun, the food incredible, the space perfect...It was everything we wanted.
