Sara and Tyler’s wedding was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with the reception at the Par-A-Dice Hotel. Having the ceremony in a Catholic Church was very important to Sara. And it doesn’t get a whole lot more gorgeous than Sacred Heart. Starting the day at Sacred Heart really set the tone for what we turn into such a magical day.
A Magical Marine Fairytale is how Sara would describe what she wanted in her wedding. The colors were a mixture of what they both wanted. Sara loves pink and Tyler wanted navy. Gold became a clear accent choice since there would be gold in Tyler’s uniform. Michelle at Heaven on Earth was responsible for transforming the Par-A-Dice into a Marine Fairytale. And what a great job she did! The navy tablecloths to the tall clear vases with flowers, the candles and Sara’s favorite part the glitter table numbers all brought the vision into life.
Georgette’s Flowers did all of Sara’s bouquets. Lynette was awesome working with Sara. Her one request was absolutely no roses. But, as we can all tell, she adores pink. Georgette’s did an amazing job of giving her that fairytale without using the traditional rose. It was also incredibly special to use them. Sara’s parents used Georgette’s for their flowers 35 years ago for their wedding!
Sara wanted to make sure a special shout out went out for two vendors. She felt that Adore really went above and beyond (Sara you make us blush). All the steps it took to create the perfect look just came together beautifully. Also, we had one snafu of a missing cuff link set. Not to worry, we were at the Par-A-Dice within 30 minutes of getting the phone call with a replacement set!
I will forever be so grateful to the wonderful staff at Adore Bridal.
Well Sara, the feeling is definitely mutual! <3
There was also the awesome staff at So Chic Boutique. Between Sara and Kelsey they were able to take her vision and bring together some of the details that made it all real. The original invitation suite that Sara had chosen ended up not being available in pink, well that clearly wouldn’t work. The staff was so patient with her as she scoured through the books to find the perfect suite. Once it was found Kelsey took it up a notch and made sure all of her day of papers matched perfectly.
I would say that they listened to me and brought what I had in my head to life. So Chic went beyond my dreams and created our fairytale wedding papers.
Next week we will wrap it up as we talk about all the emotions that were wrapped up into this most special day. And there are some good ones, so stay tuned.
Until next time – XOXO,
